In 2004, Elena met Sergei Kaminskiy, and the two were married the following year. Together, they founded their company, originally named SDC Handyman Service Plus. Kimberly Villa joined the Kaminskiy team in the summer of 2015. She came to us with a strong management, operations, marketing, and sales background and years of experience in the house design and remodeling industry.
She attributes her success to her ability to form strong relationships. She genuinely cares about our clients, employees, vendors, and partners. This is evident in the time and care she puts into everything she does, including her insightful and informative blog posts that reflect her deep understanding of design and remodeling trends.
In 2015, after spending 23 years in the Washington, D.C. area, Kimberly returned to her hometown of San Diego, where she resides with her new blended family. She enjoys watching live music, walking San Diego's many attractions, going to Disneyland as often as possible, and doing jigsaw puzzles.

Christine joined Kaminskiy Design and Remodeling as Business Development Manager in July 2026, bringing more than 14 years of experience in construction sales, procurement, business operations, project coordination, and relationship development.
Her career in the construction industry began in 2011 when she owned and operated a material yard, overseeing everything from sourcing and inventory to vendor negotiations and sales. She later expanded her expertise through roles in outside sales, logistics, procurement, and construction consulting within San Diego's design and construction community.
Known for her relationship-first approach, Christine listens carefully to understand each client's needs and connects homeowners and industry professionals with trusted remodeling and construction resources. Her experience as an entrepreneur gives her a practical understanding of how clear communication, quality materials, reliable vendors, and thoughtful coordination contribute to a successful project.

With over 37 years of hands-on experience, he brings a level of craftsmanship and industry knowledge that is truly rare.
Sean holds a Certified Academic Draftsman credential alongside a California General Contractor B License, a combination that gives him a uniquely well-rounded foundation spanning both design and field execution. His ability to bridge the technical and creative sides of construction makes him a natural fit as a design consultant, helping Kaminskiy clients navigate the remodeling process with confidence from concept to completion.
When he is not on the job, Sean is usually chasing waves or exploring backcountry trails off-road. A true San Diegan at heart, he lives and breathes the Southern California lifestyle. He has been happily married since 2003, and together they have two beautiful daughters.
Anastasia Berta joined Kaminskiy in 2023 after working with hundreds of clients as a residential designer for some of San Diego's best-known design-build firms since 2003. She is a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist, a Certified Green Building Professional and a Certified Kitchen and Bath Designer.

Jean Becker is a seasoned designer with a Bachelor of Science from Cal Poly. She began her career as a design assistant in the Bay Area and later joined Kaminskiy Design and Home Remodeling in 2012 as a lead designer.

Haley Chavez-Overlund joined the Kaminskiy Design and Remodeling family in November 2023. Haley's voyage into the world of design did not follow a straight path. Originally on track to major in psychology, her undeniable passion for design sparked a courageous shift to interior architecture during her undergrad at San Diego State University. There, Haley's talents flourished as she honed her skills in CAD, 3D modeling, and rendering, eventually leading to her graduation with a bachelor's degree in the field.
Haley's philosophy is simple: environments impact emotions, and good design harmonizes space with feeling. She brings this belief to life at Kaminskiy, where she combines her technical prowess in SketchUp, AutoCAD, and Enscape with a natural flair for client presentations and organization.
Born and raised in San Diego, Haley's design aesthetic is infused with the city's warmth and vitality. When she is not transforming spaces, you will find her with a paintbrush or pencil in hand, expressing her creativity on canvas, or refining her tennis game, a hobby she approaches with joy and vigor.

Before beginning his design career, Ajai developed valuable client service and operational experience through positions in hospitality and golf course operations. These experiences strengthened his communication, organization, project planning, and teamwork skills.
Originally from San Luis Obispo, Ajai moved to San Diego in 2025. Outside of work, he enjoys going to the gym, spending time outdoors, playing sports, and relaxing at the beach. Family is also important to Ajai, who shares a close bond with his twin sisters.
Project management
The people on your jobsite every day
Jeremiah Skelton brings roughly 30 years of construction experience to his role as Production Manager at Kaminskiy Design and Remodeling. He got his start the way a lot of lifelong builders do, taking a summer construction job in high school, and he never left the trade.
Jeremiah grew up in Redlands, California, and moved to San Diego about 20 years ago. Since then, he has built his career in local residential remodeling, moving from field superintendent work into project management, senior project management, and operations leadership before joining Kaminskiy in January 2025. That range matters day to day: having managed projects both in the field and from the production side, Jeremiah understands the challenges crews face on the jobsite as well as the experience homeowners have throughout the remodeling process.
As Production Manager, Jeremiah is responsible for keeping projects moving on schedule and to standard once a design is approved and construction begins. He coordinates crews and trade partners, keeps clients informed through each phase, and holds the line on quality before a project is handed back to the homeowner. Outside of work, he surfs, plays guitar, camps, and keeps a steady gym and yoga routine.
Tim grew up in Sacramento, California. After graduating high school, he worked at a number of companies to expand his knowledge in the construction field. He is very experienced in all aspects of residential remodeling, including carpentry, electrical, flooring, window and door installation, and all aspects of finish carpentry.
He has a strong work ethic and is very dedicated to providing clients with exceptional customer service and high quality work. In his spare time he enjoys exercising, hunting, fishing and anything outdoors.
Brandon began his career after graduating high school. His high school guidance counselor found him a job with a general contractor, and he has now been in the field for more than ten years. He started with Kaminskiy in June 2018.
He enjoys reading, going to music festivals, and relaxing at home with his dog Admiral. He was born and raised in San Diego and has lived all over San Diego County.

Ruvim Linsky has been working for Kaminskiy Design and Remodeling since 2006. He enjoys the work he does, especially performing a variety of trades. Later, Ruvim became more involved in fixing things and doing remodeling for other people while he was still in high school. In 2003, he moved to Spokane, Washington, where he worked in a warehouse assembling doors as well as doing a full house remodel for his father. In 2005, he moved to San Diego and worked as a window installer for a year. A year later, he began working for Kaminskiy Design and Remodeling.
He does all of his work with the highest possible quality and honesty. Most importantly, he likes to have an open and friendly interaction with the customers. Johnie Randleas brings more than 37 years of construction experience to his role as Lead Technician at Kaminskiy Design and Remodeling. Over the years, Johnie has developed extensive experience in the trades and has also previously completed 6G welding certification.
Originally from Imperial Beach, California, Johnie has deep roots in the San Diego area. Outside of work, he enjoys playing music and spending time pursuing the interests that keep his creative side active.
Kaliskah Mason has been around construction for as long as he can remember. Growing up in a family with deep roots in the trades, he began getting hands-on experience at an early age, helping his dad with demolition work when he was just five years old. He joined Kaminskiy Design and Remodeling in August 2026 and brings a lifelong familiarity with construction to his role as Lead Technician.
A Lakeside native, Kaliskah's family roots in the area go back six generations. His family also has a unique connection to the community, having helped bring the rodeo to Lakeside in 1908. His professional training includes experience with the AGC and the Carpenters Union.
Outside of work, Kaliskah enjoys just about any outdoor adventure, especially off-roading, camping, and spending time around rivers and lakes. He has been married for eight years, and while they do not have children, they share their home with plenty of animals.
