Vista Kitchen and Living Room Remodel

If you attended our recent open house in Vista, you had the chance to experience this transformation in person. For everyone else, we’re excited to share a closer look.

Kitchen and Living Room Remodel in Vista, CA

This Vista home still had its original 1990s kitchen, complete with dated finishes, older oak cabinetry, square tile countertops, and a layout that didn’t support the way the homeowner wanted to live. The goal was not just to update the look, but to create a more open, comfortable space for everyday living and entertaining.

A Bright, Open Living Space Designed for Entertaining, Relaxing, and Everyday Comfort

Working with Andrea and Haley, the home was transformed into a warm and connected kitchen, dining, and family room centered around a large island, a dramatic double-sided fireplace, and a welcoming banquette. Key updates included removing the wall between the kitchen and family room, opening up the main living area, adding new cabinetry, countertops, backsplash, appliances, and creating a much better flow throughout the space.

Remodeling Tip: How to Avoid Surprise Costs

What Homeowners Should Know About Change Orders

One of the biggest concerns homeowners have before starting a remodel is the fear of unexpected costs. This month’s featured blog explains what change orders are, when they’re legitimate, and how careful planning, clear communication, and detailed documentation can help reduce surprises during construction.

For anyone thinking about remodeling this year, it’s a helpful reminder that the best projects start with clarity before construction begins.

Design Trend We’re Loving: Warm Contrast

All-white kitchens are still beautiful, but many homeowners are now looking for spaces with more warmth, depth, and personality.

One way to achieve that is through contrast: a darker island paired with lighter perimeter cabinetry, warm wood tones, textured tile, and statement lighting. These details can make a kitchen feel more layered and custom without becoming too trendy.

The key is balance. When the larger elements stay timeless, the accents can bring personality in a way that still feels classic.
